धारा 448
repealedPunishment for house-trespass
Whoever commits house-trespass shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

क्योंकि घर में अनधिकार प्रवेश में खुले भूभाग की तुलना में किसी निवास, उपासना-स्थान या वह स्थान जहाँ संपत्ति रखी जाती है, में घुसपैठ शामिल होती है, इसीलिए यह अनुभाग साधारण आपराधिक अनधिकार प्रवेश की अपेक्षा स्पष्टतः अधिक कठोर दंड निर्धारित करता है—क्योंकि बिना अनुमति किसी के घर या पवित्र स्थल में घुसना अधिक गम्भीर उल्लंघन और जोखिम माना जाता है।
