repealedDisturbing religious assembly
Whoever voluntarily causes disturbance to any assembly lawfully engaged in the performance of religious worship, or religious ceremonies, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

धार्मिक विधींसाठी शांत, अखंड सहभाग आवश्यक असतो; जाणूनबुजून केलेला व्यत्यय उपासकांना खऱ्या अर्थाने क्लेश देऊ शकतो आणि व्यापक संघर्षाचा धोका निर्माण करतो. ही तरतूद जाणूनबुजून हस्तक्षेपापासून कायदेशीर धार्मिक सभांच्या शांततापूर्ण पार पाडण्याचे संरक्षण करते. Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 अंतर्गत हे अपराध पुनर्नंबर केलेल्या कलमाखाली पुढेही लागू राहते.
