Practising advocate not to sit as Magistrate in certain Courts
No advocate who practices in the Court of any Magistrate shall sit as a Magistrate in that Court or in any Court within the local jurisdiction of that Court.

ज्या न्यायालयात वकील म्हणून वकिली करतो, त्याच ठिकाणी प्रकरणे निकाली काढणारा न्यायनिवाडा करणारा म्हणून त्याला बसू देणे हे उघड हितसंबंधांचा संघर्ष निर्माण करते आणि पक्षपाताचा धोका किंवा त्याचा आभास निर्माण होतो. ही तरतूद त्याच स्थानिक अधिकारक्षेत्रात वकील आणि न्यायाधीश यांच्या भूमिका स्वच्छपणे वेगळ्या ठेवते, निष्पक्ष न्यायावरील लोकांचा विश्वास टिकवते. हीच नीती आधीच्या Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 मधील कलम 480 म्हणूनही चालू होती.
