Direction of warrant for execution
Every warrant for the execution of a sentence of imprisonment shall be directed to the officer in charge of the jail or other place in which the prisoner is, or is to be, confined.

एखादे वॉरंट कायदेशीरदृष्ट्या प्रभावी ठरून त्यावर योग्यरीत्या कार्यवाही व्हावी, तर ते कोण स्वीकारणार व अंमलबजावणी करणार हे स्पष्ट ओळखणे आवश्यक असते. ही तरतूद योग्य प्राप्तकर्त्याला—संबंधित ताब्याच्या ठिकाणाच्या प्रभारी अधिकाऱ्याला—निश्चित करते, ज्यामुळे कैदी सोपविताना अधिकाराबाबत गोंधळ किंवा पोकळी राहत नाही. हे पूर्वीच्या CrPC च्या section 419 चे प्रतिबिंब आहे.
